The Guy In The Middle (TGITM) is a new short film produced for Film According to Culture, Tradition and Scriptures (FACTS), a Contemporary Gospel Media Production brand under the auspices of Kinetic Chords, a Media outfit based in Lagos.
This is the first major Production Project coming from the Producers. 'The Guy In The Middle' is a short Christian movie told in a contemporary way. It seeks to address the issue of making the right choices, taking its roots from the Bible.
The story is based on a lady (Sharon), who had the option of loving one of two guys (Promise and Larry), who showed their interest in her but in different manners. Her final choice eventually turned out against her. There are several questions TGITM begs to answer, including questions of modesty, faith and of relationships.
Its anchor text is from the Bible Book of Isaiah 59:1-2 “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.”
The short movie was Written and Directed by Adeshina Osho; and stars Gospel Actress Priscilla Bangboje of the DemRuth Sisters, Comedian/On-Air Personality SimplyMhoses and EduPreneur Olatunde Akintoye. Others are Solomon Eneojo, Magdalene Ebhonun and Abigail John.
Osho, who is the Creative Director of Kinetic Chords and the Convener of the FACTS Project, in his statement, gave the mandate of the production, thus: "For emphasis, this is Film According to Culture Tradition and Scriptures (FACTS) Project.
The aim is to 'Minister' our stories to audiences irrespective of who they are or what they believe. Our approach of Ministering the Gospel is by telling our stories from the angle of the everyday people." He also stated that this new movie is just the start for the Project; and that people should watch out for there's a lot more coming from the Production Team.
TGITM was shot on the outskirts of Lagos State, with veteran Kunle Adepoju of MEDRAM Film Academy (MEFA) being the Director of Photography, and Kolawole Oyerinde of Gospel Teachers Film and Drama Ministry being the Production Manager. The use of Costumes in the Production was supervised by Oyindolapo Oyinwola while the set was designed by Eberechi Uzor.
The short film is scheduled to drop in the First Week of August, 2020. However, the trailer is currently out and gaining attention on YouTube. The link to watch the trailer is:
