The three survivors of Titi Sanumi's family, the young lady whose boyfriend set her home ablaze after she called off their relationship, have died.
This brings to eight the number of casualties from the unfortunate incident. Recall that LIB shared the story yesterday about Deji Adenuga and Titi who had been dating for a while and she recently called off their relationship over irreconciable differences.
Embarrased by her decision to cut ties with him, Deji decided to attack Titi. He took a jerrycan filled with petrol to her house in the middle of the night, threw it in through the window and set the house ablaze.
Five children and three adults were badly affected by the fire. Five of the family members gave up the ghost initially. Sadly, three others died yesterday April 24th.
Confirming the death of the three other family members, the spokesperson of the state police command, Femi Joseph, gave the names of the deceased persons as Glory Alade, Mercy Alade, Joy Alade, Adebayo Alade, Aladesewa Alade, Johnson Alade and Ayorinde Alade.
“I can confirm to you that three more people have died. The girl (Titi) is the only member of the family alive. For the suspect, we are still on his trail and we will soon get him,” Joseph said.
The police spokesperson said Titi had been admitted to an undisclosed hospital, adding that she was in a traumatic state. He added that efforts are being made to arrest Deji who is on the run.
