Australian man who lost his wife and daughter in the Sri Lanka terror attack breaks down in tears as he describes the moment they died in his arms (video)

A man whose wife and daughter were killed in one of the Sri Lanka terror attacks on Easter Sunday has narrated how they died in his arms while they were in church.

Sudesh Kolonne was at Easter Sunday Mass with Australian wife Manik and daughter, Alexandria, 10. The family had gone to St Sebastian Church in Negombo and just before Mass ended, Sudesh, an Australian, went to wait outside. Five minutes after he left the church, a suicide bomber exploded a bomb in the church.  He ran back into the church and held his wife and daughter. They died in his arms before he could get them to a hospital.

Describing their last moments, Sudesh broke down in tears as he said: "They died in my hands; my daughter and wife. I tried to take them to the hospital. They're already gone. "  He continued: "My wife and daughter were so excited to go to church. I don't know why they were so excited to go to this ceremony.    At least 100 people died in St Sebastian church alone. A total of 321 people have died so far in the multiple terror attacks which took place in churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter day. Sudesh Kolonne looks at the bodies of his wife and daughter in open caskets.
