Plateau, Adamawa Governorship Elections declared Inconclusive



The governorship elections in Plateau and Adamawa states have been declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Channels TV reports that Plateau state Returning Officer, Professor Richard Kimbi, confirmed the development at the governorship election collation centre in Yola on Monday, stating that the lead margin between All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Simon Lalong, and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Jeremiah Useni, 44,929 votes is less than the total number of cancelled votes, 49,377.

Likewise, in Adamawa state, Returning Officer, Professor Andrew Haruna, confirmed the development at the governorship election collation centre in Yola on Monday, stating that the number of cancelled votes was higher that the margin between the two lead contestants.
