The convoy of Kashim Shettima, Governor of Borno State, has been reportedly attacked by terrorist group, Boko Haram. According to a report by SaharaReporters, Shettima’s convoy was travelling from Maiduguri, the state capital, to Gamboru-Ngala when the insurgents struck, dividing his convoy into two and raining gun shuts on the one behind. It is not yet clear how many people were injured or killed. Recall in January 2019, Governor Shettima broke down in tears when he spoke about the increasing attacks by Boko Haram in his state during a meeting with President Buhari.
