Why Dino Melaye Was Re-arrested Despite Meeting Bail Conditions(Read)

The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly and Ajekuiyanioje Crooner, Dino Melaye, has been denied bail in the case of an alleged conspiracy and aiding of jailbreak.


According to a statement signed by Lokoja Police Public Relations officer Jimoh Moshood which reads

“The Police investigation team re-arrested Senator Dino Melaye today, 2nd May 2018 after his arraignment at Chief Magistrate Court, Wuse for the pending offences of Criminal Conspiracy and Unlawful Possession of Prohibited Firearms already filed in a Court of competent jurisdiction in Lokoja for which he will be arraigned without further delay,” the statement read in part.

The law maker was granted bail of N90million on Wednesday May 2, after passing all bail conditions. Later that day the police Were told to re-arrest Melaye over Allege case of aiding Jailbreak, conspiracy and attempted suicide and lots of others. 

Dino Melaye who tried to Jump off Police vehicle on his way to Lokoja for his trial, was rearrested the same day at the hospital on Tuesday 24th, 2018. 

However, Mr Dino tried resisting the police with some thugs trying to hinder the police but all to no avail.
