Married Woman gang-raped in the presence of her Husband.

The young lady in the middle was raped by a man and four others of his gangs in presence of her husband.

The Attorney General of Cross River State has been directed to persecute the those involved in the alleged rape with immediate effect.

The incident happened last year November 6, 2017 when the alleged leader and his members invaded a farm at Okuni farm, stole properties as well as raped the wife of the farmer while he was tied to the tree.


However, some sets of aggrieved women from Okuni community protested against the rape.
Over 1000 of them took to the streets to demand for the intervention of justice for their colleague, describing the incident as being barbaric.

After rounds of Investigations it was revealed that their protest was as a result of the arrest of one of the alleged terrorist, who was aftermath released on bail without adequate sanction by the police, in Ikom.


Nevertheless, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Inyang Asibong and the Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency(CSPHDA), Dr Betta Edu, last Wednesday, paid visit to the victim and made it known that the culprits have been reapprehended and will be charged to court immediately.
