Facts have shown that not less that 227 Independent Electoral Commission (Inec) officials are to go on suspension  as reported by PUNCHng.

This was made known on  Sunday that the staff to be suspended incorporated the individuals who were arraigned for infractions in investigation led by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Police and the Department of State Services.

It was learnt that the suspension would be preliminary to the arrest of the influenced staff by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.

It was learnt that the commission likewise consented to review any of the 227 individuals from staff, who was absolved by the court as their fate was subject to the arranged police indictment for the charged offenses.

The source disclosed to The PUNCH, "Amid the time of the indictment, they will be put on suspension until after the finish of the court cases.

"The police have said they will arraign them and the commission has consented to participate completely with them.

The National Official of INEC accountable for the South-South, Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu, said amid a press instructions on Thursday that the commission would take a ultimate conclusion on the influenced specialists this week.

She expressed that 202 of the influenced specialists, who were prosecuted by the EFCC, had as of now been questioned and made to show up before a managerial board.
