Everton have finished the signing of promising youthful goalkeeper Chris Renshaw on a three-year bargain.

The 18-year-old, previous Oldham Athletic goalkeeper, will join the Blues' youth development rank towards the 2016/17 season.

Having been with the Latics since the age of 11, Renshaw wound up on the League One side's first-group seat once in a while last term.

His performance at youth level alarmed the Toffees and, subsequent to putting pen to paper on an agreement at Finch Farm, the Salford-conceived stopper told evertonfc.com of his excitement.

"I'm excited for the test," he said. "I think about the record of what number of players Everton have brought through the Academy. That intrigued me a considerable measure in light of the fact that there is by all accounts a genuine pathway to the first team. 

"Each time we played friendlies at Everton, I generally used to say the training ground and facilities would make this a stunning club to be at.

"This is a step up however I'm anticipating it. For me, this year is an development stage, so it's about trying to get that consistent football in the Under-21s."
